As one door closes, another opens. Molly begins a new chapter in her life.
Unfortunately I haven’t wrote a blog for a few weeks due to revision but it feels like forever! I’ve been busy with dance competitions, GCSE exams and also leaving high school!
This week in my blog I’m going to write about leaving high school. My last day of school was very sad but I couldn’t of wished for a better day. Me and one of my best friends decorated our shirts the night before so we were all prepared for the day!
My last day began normally with lessons one and two but as the day went on it became more chilled and relaxed. All the year eleven students got their shirts signed which I have always thought is a lovely idea. We had our last tutor time which was emotional and our first goodbyes of the day.
Then we all went on to our leavers assembly… I don’t know where to begin with that. The leavers assembly was incredible, they showed pictures of all the year eleven students from year seven and I have to say they were all pretty funny!
They handed out a few funny certificates which was a great idea and to top it off my English teacher came out dressed as Hal from Toy Story in a chicken suit (because we always said he looked like him), which was absolutely hilarious.
Then we got to the sad bit. A few members off staff said a few words which had set me and my friend off crying. Everyone was looking at me and my friend as it seemed to be that we were the only ones actually crying our eyes out!
We watched a slide show of various pictures which made me both laugh and cry. As the assembly came to an end we were handed our leavers hoodies and then the bell rang which meant it was time to go home.
I think I was crying more than anyone else, I was in hysterics. Leaving Tarleton Academy was very, very sad but also exciting as I’m now starting a new journey.
In September I am starting an Apprenticeship in Level 2 Beauty Therapy with the amazing beauty salon, Diamond Beautique. I have currently started working there a couple of days each week and I absolutely love it. The staff are all fantastic and I am so happy!
My quote for this week is relevant to my blog because it just shows, as one door closes, another door opens.
‘Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. Be the best that you can, and you’ll get to where God wants you to be.’
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!
Have an amazing and blessed week,
Lots of love,
