Junior Miss Preston volunteers for the first time at The Foxton Centre
Hey guys! It’s me again 🙂
I’ve decided I’m going to do a blog about my recent volunteering work which I am so excited to tell you about!
Okay, so, last week on Thursday was my first time ever volunteering with a youth group at The Foxton Centre. Wow what a great experience and opportunity!
The kids I am working with at the moment are aged 6 to 13 years old and I have honestly never met such incredible, loving, enthusiastic kids in my life! They make me feel so happy and give me such a positive outlook on life! I love it!! And the two ladies I work with (Andrea and Ellie) are brilliant too
The session is scheduled from 5pm-6:30pm every Tuesday and Thursday! Every session has a different theme along with a different activity for the kids to take part in and woah do they have fun?
•The children are provided with snacks (healthy of course) and drinks, then they are left to there own devices for an hour playing board games and running around having fun with each other!
After this the activities begin… So since I started last week I have attended three sessions the kids have taken part in;
•A cheese and yogurt tasting competition due to it being dairy month!
•A ‘Name That Tune’ quiz.
•A little circus/acrobatic/gymnast class just for fun!
The kids love the sessions and they really can’t get enough of them! 🙂
I just wanted to write this blog to tell you all about the Foxton Centre and what they provide and how amazing they are!
Oh and just to let you all know I did my first toiletry drop there on Tuesday and the staff there were so happy and grateful so thank you to everybody who donated! 🙂
I’m really sorry this blog is so long I just wanted to tell you all about my experience!
Big loves, your Junior Miss Preston – Ellie xxx
