Junior Miss Preston supports her big sister at the Miss England Semi Finals
Hey everyone, hope you’re all well
Here is an update on my weekend. What a busy weekend it has been!
My girl Liz got through to the Miss England Final! Can you believe it? I am over the moon!
So Saturday night…. Well.. I was off to Newark to watch the Miss England Semi Final which I was so excited about! I got to see my big sister strutting her stuff on that stage again! She did everyone so so proud and I for one am so so happy for her!
The Miss England Semi Final was held at the beautiful Kelham Hall in Newark where 15 girls out of the 70 were announced through to the Miss England Final and given the chance to be crowned Miss England 2016. All 70 of the girls were incredible and looked insane. They all made phenomenal effort with their eco dresses and there was great meaning behind them all; I really enjoyed seeing all the eco outfits as the theme was the same as mine for Junior Miss Preston 2016 which was ‘English Fashion Throughout The Decades’ – girls you all killed it on that stage 😉
After a huuuuge interval came the next round.. EVENING WEAR
Next up an interval which lasted what felt like a life time before the results were announced. This was my chance to catch up with my beautiful girls Liv, Mary, Lucy, Christina and of course Elizabeth. We got lots of photos together as you can see..
Now it was time for the results!! Wow I have never been so nervous in my whole life!! I sat, I listened, I watched.. Shaking and praying. Lots of beautiful girls were being announced through to the Miss England final and being crowned and pictured it got to the last four and Liz still hadn’t been announced as a finalist. Then I heard “The next contestant through to the Miss England Final is contestant number 23, Elizabeth Grant!!!”
WOOOOOOW I WAS SO OVER THE MOON SHE DESERVED THIS SO MUCH AND I WAS SO GLAD I WAS THERE TO WATCH MY BIG SIS GET CROWNED A FINALIST OF MISS ENGLAND 2016.
WELL DONE LIZ
After that it was time for lots of pictures and celebrations … 🙂 Oh and not forgetting the 3 hour drive home I had coming up 😉
Soon came Sunday the day of Miss North West’s Big Garden Party at Kearsley Cricket Club in aid of Beauty With A Purpose. Although the weather was awful it did not stop us all from having fun! It was lovely to see Alex (Junior Miss North West), Leah (Junior Miss Wigan), Ammie (Junior Miss Lancashire), Lucy (Miss Lancashire), Christina (Miss North West) and Elizabeth (Miss Preston). I hope the event was successful and made a small fortune for Christina to put towards her fund-raising for the Miss England Final.
I think that is all for this weekend but be expecting a new blog soon updating you on the other things I have been up to recently 😉
Lots of Love
Your Junior Miss Preston 2016, Elli xxx
