Molly, Junior Miss Preston, celebrates her 16th birthday in fancy dress!
This week I am going to write my blog about three events! My 16th birthday, my dance competition weekend and also my birthday party. My 16th birthday was the 26th April and during this day I was actually in Blackpool for my dance competition.
On the night before, Friday 25th, my family and close friends went for a meal to celebrate my birthday. I woke up bright and early to open my presents and celebrate on the Saturday before heading to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool to begin the first day of my dance competition.
For the rest of the day my birthday was spent with my best friends and family as well as dancing/performing in a competition. I had a McDonalds for dinner and a Dominos for tea, how lucky am I!
I got the most perfect and amazing present off all my friends and family which I am incredibly thankful for! By the way, I look pretty creepy with my dancing hair and make-up, you’ve been warned!
The dance competition I competed in was called the British Formation Championships. This competition is spread over two days, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of April. On both days my teams were successful and managed to gain semi-final positions in both competitions.
Unfortunately neither my 4 couple or 8 couple teams made it through to the final which many people disagreed with. However it is the taking part that counts and I am so proud of myself and my teams! We were amazing and all enjoyed performing thoroughly.
Below is a photograph of me (left) and my amazing best friend Jess (right) in our dresses for both days, also with my lovely tan, make-up and hair!
Now onto my fancy dress 16th birthday party! I dressed up as Tinkerbell, not just because I adore her but because since I was a little girl my family have called me ‘Tink’ due to me always being tiny like a fairy.
I would love to thank my fabulous Mum for making me the perfect costume! I had an awesome night and shared it with my favourite people. The night was brilliant and it was the perfect end to the best birthday ever.
Thankfully everyone joined in with the fancy dress theme and it was amazing! Check out my Facebook for many pictures! https://www.facebook.com/molly.hilton1?ref=tn_tnmn
I have chosen a quote this week to help those who are also preparing to start their GCSE’s next week. Good luck to you all!
“We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed reading my blog as much as I did writing it!
Lots of love,
